The Gold's Factory USA Hearts Prototype Wedge is based on the GF Original Forged Wedge, a unqiue design created by Master Sasaya. The sole of the new Original Forged has about the same thickness as the old top of the line Stage 5 wedge but an improved grind including a focus on the left heel portion of the wedge that allows more contact with the ground letsthe wedge to get under the ball easier and quicker. The grooves on the bottom of the back face allow the weight to be pushed towards the neck creating a lower more stable trajectory with maximum spin created by the sharp milled scorelines.
The Hearts Protoype has an awesome raw polished look with two heart marks engraved and dots to specify loft. This prototype wedge was forged from the most expensive S20C steel in Japan from Sumitomo industries.
The Hearts Prototype Wedge is available as a two wedge set with 54 and 60 degree lofts, shafted with Dyanmic Gold S200 at 35" and D2 and D3 swing weights respectively.
All Gold's Factory USA wedges are hand picked premium forged S20C steel. Using an original forging process in which the steel is hammered three times to ensure that unwanted impurities are removed from the steel to keep it as pure as possible. All Gold's Factory USA are original limited designs, created from start to finish in house by master M. Sasaya of Gold's Factory. Once a wedge design is sold out, it will no longer be made.
